Article from Infoworld reports that Google accidentally mark their own blog as spam and gave it to another user. The incident was caught by Philip Lenssen who saw a strange post with some grammatical spelling mistakes that be obvious. He then contacted Google about that and receive back from the Google team as it says:

Whoops! We accidentally classified ourselves as spam, and our ever-perceptive Blogger settings caught us. The Custom Search Blog has since been restored, and we’re taking steps to ensure this doesn’t happen with other Google blogs in the future. Other Blogger users can make sure this doesn’t happen to them by reporting any problems to the Blogger support team via the Blogger Help Center at http://www.blogger.com/problem.g. We can then investigate.

Google now is more flawless about spotting spam and it even cause them to accidentally delete their own blog.Suggesting not to trust 100% on the software and human editing will be more safe and accurate. There are pro and contra with human and machines as machines does not effect by emotion but sometimes software can be wrong.

It will be fine if the Google team try to not delegate so much responsibility to the software and as far as it wil be human review alongside, it can give a different perception and situation.

But,the incident shows that Google now are more and more aware about spam and try to get over it.What are your perception of this incident?
