1-800-GOOG-411, the number that is soon going to be in every handset phonebook in the world. Google in another crushing move to annihilate Yahoo from the search engine business, introduced an experimental services which allows users to make business searches via a voice call. Using state-of-the-art voice recognition technology, users can receive search information for local businesses via voice, through their mobile handset or by text messages as well.

Google gives all this completely free of charge like virtually everything else, but regular phone charges may apply. Much to our regret, we will just have to wait in shock and awe as this service is only available in US market for now. But just like everything Google, it works wonderfully and will be soon available to the rest of the world.
