Yahoo Will Be Acquire?

Written on May 5, 2007 – 1:43 am | by Swank |

The rumor is getting hot right now according to the New York Times. The merger talk is on. And what are you expect from this merger if it will be. Well, this actually remind me of the Shoemoney post on 16 December last year about 10 Reasons Why Microsoft Will Acquire Yahoo in 2007.

Everything in my post here is only my opinion and if you had a trouble to understand the message that I’m trying to deliver, I’m very sorry about that because my grammar is horrible.

Why MSN will acquire Yahoo.

What is the reason behind the acquisition? One reasonable answer is the traffic that Yahoo got. MSN still currently on their MSN AdCenter and the problem with it is the traffic from their MSN LiveSearch which a bit disgrace and horrible if compared to Yahoo and Google search engine algorithms. Learned from Google successors which are Adwords and AdSense programs, the traffic is the key to it. And from the acquisition, it will lead MSN to gain more traffic which is can attract a lot of publishers too. And I don’t think it is about their MSN LiveSearch for. Conclude that it is about money and business. And for branding and monopolist attitude sure to get back their spot from Google.

I assumed that I didn’t like the merger between MSN and Yahoo. Since Yahoo is also not so bad search engine and media ads provider, there is no reason they will accept the proposition from MSN. Think about the loyal users and publishers they got, what would they note this? Is the merger bringing benefits to them?

MSN LiveSearch Could Be Better

Search engine will be useless without users. Most importantly, MSN must focus to make the search engine algorithm better than what they had now. The key is to attract more users use their search engine and features. The slick and cool look doesn’t bring any momentum without a good search engine result. Google search engine result a far better and that what they must take a note to taming the Google. Google success is from their good relationship with the users. They must know that Internet is all about providing what users need. Mention early that Microsoft is basely about Software Company recent days, the step to Internet search engine and media things are not in their expertise but they keep the pace and runs although it was a bit slowly.

Monopolist Isn’t Good

Microsoft are trying to reconstruct the pie of the search engine that been monopoly by Google. Or does Microsoft want to conquer all the software and Internet industries? And from the rumors, it makes sense. The monopolist isn’t good. And it could bring more troubles. But Microsoft does a good example when they tamed the Borland software company. And how do they do it? I reserve my opinion on that.

Conclusion

I’m looking into result from this merge if it happens. There are good things and bad things. The good things is Google will have a better rival and they two giants can re-pace between themselves on the development in search engine and other s features they had and to bring on to the end user what the best for them. Finally, it’s users and consumers who stand victorious. Search engine and internet media network will get better and better, for a more enjoyable surfing experience.
